Junior Counselling is founded on the premise that, if given the opportunity, mentoring, and guidance, even young students can work together to solve (and resolve) their own problems, and work toward their own common, co-operative goals. A Junior Counselling programme is inclusive, enthusiastic, optimistic, achievable, and necessary. This work is the culmination of nine years of experience in implementing Junior Counselling programmes in two elementary schools. Included are chapters on: Getting Started, Choosing Facilitators, Mediation Training, Evaluation, Handling Objections and Troubleshooting.
