Spent is an odd and isolated town somewhere in the North. It's inhabitants include Dr Chinnery the incompetent vet, Pauline the monstrous Job Centre Restart Officer, and the Dentons who impose their disturbing habits upon their visiting nephew. These and other townsfolk are ferried around by Barbara, a taxi-driver half way through his sex change.

Welcome to Spent, an odd and rather isolated town somewhere in the North. It's inhabitants include Dr Chinnery the lethally incompetent vet, Pauline the monstrous Job Centre Restart Officer, and the hideously exacting Dentons who impose their toads and disturbing habits upon their visiting nephew Benamin. These and other memorable townsfolk are ferried around by Barbara, a taxi-driver half way through his sex change. Murderously funny and acutely observed, "The League of Gentlemen's" highly acclaimed brand of comedy reveals human nature at its hilarious extreme.
