This is the story of the Willow Clan and their animal companions. When they take to their oak-bough ark to find a new home after humans flood their valley they don't expect the plotting of the vicious Nightshade Clan or the arrival of three human children.

Inside an ancient oak, the gentle Willow People live in peace and harmony with nature. But Humans flood the valley. In a desperate bid to survive, the People set sail in an oak-bough ark. Somewhere beyond the floods is a new life for them, and a new home. They will need all their courage to find it.
