This Evaluation Pack has been designed for the teaching of English at Key Stage 2. Taking as topics the weather, food, minibeasts and transport, each pack includes three Pupil's Books, one Teacher's Book and one set of Copymasters. This pack is about minibeasts.

Each Pupil's Book is a resource book of language material, illustrated in full colour, and contains a variety of fiction, non-fiction and "real life" texts, including poetry, plays, fables and folk tales from many cultures. Intended to stimulate writing and discussion, material is incorporated which should develop the complete range of literacy skills at each level. The Pupil's Books cover National Curriculum Levels 3-5. Each Teacher's Book contains general background notes, photocopiable grids showing National Curriculum Attainment Target coverage, and references to further reading related to the topic. Also included are page-by-page notes of suggestions for using the pupil material and extending beyond it into more open-ended work, as recommended in National Curriculum Programmes of Study. Photocopiable record-keeping and assessment material is incorporated, as are miniature pages from the Pupil's Books to aid easy reference. The final components of the Evaluation Pack are photocopiable Copymasters and spiritmaster worksheets, also linked to the Pupil's Books.
