This work offers an introductory treatment of the organic laboratory techniques for handling glassware and equipment, safety in the laboratory, micro- and miniscale experimental procedures, theory of reactions and techniques, relevant background information, and applications and spectroscopy. It introduces experiments based on an introductory approach, a first semester organic qualitative analysis experiment, sequences based on heterocyclic compounds, and experiments that teach experimental design.
