In "A Song For Europe", inspired by Dougal's enthusiasm and driven on by his rivalry with Father Dick Byrne, Ted enters the Eurosong Contest with a 'borrowed' tune. In "The Plague", when Bishop Brennan, who has an intense rabbit phobia, visits Craggy Island, Dougal's new pet rabbit Sampras must be kept well hidden. But a sudden proliferation of rabbits leads to a crisis situation. "The Passion of St. Tibulus" - when a highly controversial movie, banned by the Pope, is shown on Craggy Island, Bishop Brennan calls on Ted and Dougal's support to get the film withdrawn. "Cigarettes and Alcohol and Rollerblading" - as Lent arrives, Ted gives up cigarettes, Jack gives up drink and Dougal gives up rollerblading. But when they fall at the first hurdle, they ask for help from a strict order of militant nuns.
