- Book Details
This is the fourth of four books resulting from the contributions to the 13th International Conference on Engineering design (ICED 01). The theme for this year is "Unifying Engineering Research - Building a Partnership Between Research and Industry".
The first part concentrates on design in industry, and as well as numerous case studies, has sections on management issues and on the important issue of the introduction of new methods into industrial application. Following this, the emphasis shifts to design education. Issues covered are relevant to both adademic education, and education and training in industry. Themes include the challenges and approaches of computer-aided learning and the development of learning environments for design education. These topics are vital to the future of design in engineering.
