Jan Miller's "Country Diary" began life as a monthly nature column in the Denbighshire Free Press. Jan helps people find new beauty in their surroundings, highlighting the natural world around us, and putting people in touch with organisations working to protect the environment.

This diary begins in September, as it's a warmer place to start appreciating the countryside. Readers are given a month-by-month guide to some of the wildlife that can be seen each month, along with detailed lists of local events and organisations which will allow them to find out more and get involved. The book is illustrated with line drawings and paintings by late fellow volunteer for Butterfly Conservation and prolific wildlife artist, Alan Wagstaff.
