The study is dedicated to the political career of Count ItsvAn Bethlen during the period of consolidation of his power following his appointment as Minister-President of Hungary in April 1921. Specifically, the study focuses on the creation of a single Government Party--the Unified Party--and analyzes the Party's role in the years 1922-1926, the "consolidation period" of the Bethlen regime.
