The study's findings reflect the uncertainty which remains over the sources of such wastes. The results provided should be a useful guide to those industrial groups most likely to be affected by the higher waste disposal costs resulting from influences such as the introduction of higher environmental standards for landfill; market pressures; and the introduction of the landfill tax.
