Annotations are lengthy and discuss the strengths and weaknesses of each book and its potential use in the curriculum. In addition, an entire section is devoted to criteria for selecting books about American Indians that avoid stereotypes and ensure objectivity, and an easy-to-use checklist for evaluating materials is included.
