Each title in the WRITING GUIDES series provides teachers with subject knowledge and photocopiable activities for shared, guided and independent writing on one particular genre. Each book has four sections: 1. Using Good Examples. Two extracts to explore in shared writing activities to enable children (and teachers) to develop knowledge and understanding of the text type. 2. Developing Writing. Activities for exploring, practising and planning elements of the text type. 3. Writing. Projects to help children to put their writing ideas and planning together into written work. 4. Review. Ideas and photocopiables to get children to redraft, assess and improve their own writing.
