Achieving the Millennium Development Goals (MDG) and other internationally agreed development goals in Africa holds the promise of saving millions of lives, ending the scourge of hunger and malnutrition, and ensuring that Africa's children are empowered through education and good health to lead productive lives. The MDG Africa Steering group presents recommendations in view to achieving the MDG and laying the foundation for robust economic growth in Africa. The evidence surveyed by the group demonstrates that such recommendations will produce substantial and verifiable results if implemented by world leaders as the second half of the MDG period begins.
