Forty runs over a small wolf like dog with his skis and takes it home to care for it. They soon learn that the dog is a rare Japanese Wolf and the area is filled with reporters after the dog. Forty promises the dog that he will return him to the mountains when he is better, and uses a 'reverse reality module' to return the dog to the wild.

Later Hitoshi helps her set up the computer and learns that she is trying to use it to get back in touch with her father, whom she's fighting with. However, Cynthia hates and fears computers. Her one wish is to send her father a birthday e-mail before his birthday is over. She manages to do this and he responds. They make up. Everything is wonderful.
