507th Parachute Infantry Regiment

Part of the American 82nd Airborne Division, the 507th Parachute Regiment was given the crucial task in the 1944 D-Day Operations of establishing a defensive front west of the River Merderet and was involved in the fierce battle for the La Fiere causeway. This book draws upon numerous veteran eye-witness accounts and takes us from Normandy to the Ardennes and across the Rhine into the Ruhr pocket, and from there to the end of the war.
