Carlo Valsecchi lives and works in Milan. His color images of industrial sites, warehouses, rooms adapted for special production, and enlarged details of machinery have their clear progenitors: from the American Precisionism of Charles Sheeler to the Central European photography of the '30s. In other words, they emerged from a feeling of amazement at the new industrial landscape that so radically and rapidly took form within the span of a few decades. His photographs capture the industrial environment with an alien eye, as if things were functioning and living beyond human presence and control. His photographic investigation travels within space, be it industrial, architectural, or landscape. Valsecchi's photographs are always slightly overexposed, so as to make the image more luminous and ghostly - and unforgettable. Carlo Valsecchi, born in Brescia in 1965, lives and works in Milan. He has participated in numerous group exhibitions in such cities as Milan, Luxembourg, Turin and Bergamo. Te
