"Enabling technologies" looked at real-time Ada applications with silicon executives, redundant discrete interface devices and integrated millimetre-wave sensors. "Emerging systems" dealt with the British Army attack helicopter - software support, EFA modular computer concept and civil modular avionics. "Integrated avionics" discussed IMA - an alternative approach , the Federal Aviation Administration's "Digital Systems Validation Handbook", utilities control within the IMA architecture, remote-data concentrators, engineering judgements in development and testing integrated navigation systems and future integrated rf avionics. "Improving information management" studied electronic library system - information management on the flight deck, CALS.
